The Kooks: She Moves in her Own Way Meaning
Song Released: 2006
She Moves in her Own Way Lyrics
you'd be on your way to better things
its not about your make up or how you try to shape up
to these tiresome paper dreams
paper dream, honey
so now you pour your heart out, you're telling me...

I think he is telling the story about how he met this girl that is amazing and is totally different from the rest. He might have had past relationship where the girls maybe just loved him because he was a musician or he played the guitar or he was kinda of a ''rockstar'' and it seems he has finally found a girl that actually cares about him like when it says: ''she came to my show
just to hear about my day'' this girl actually came to his shows to hear about him and not maybe just to hook up or make out. Also he reclaims that he is ''a better man'' multiple times : ''(...)but you don't pull my strings
cause I'm a better man
moving on to better things'' maybe because he used to like or didn't care about the life he was living before and now that he met her, he tries to show her he has changed.
