Thin Lizzy: The Boys Are Back In Town Meaning
The Boys Are Back In Town Lyrics
Those wild-eyed boys that had been away
Haven't changed, haven't much to say
But man, I still think those cats are great
They were asking if you were around
How you was, where you could be found
I told them...

A group of guys have returned home from a long trip. Them and their friends are celebrating and talking about it. They enjoy being with their women and eating at a local restaurant. I play this song whenver one of my friends returns home from a trip.

I like the song The Boys Are Back In Town. Basically it's about a group of boys who have come back home after being away for quite a long time.
Kudos to Thin Lizzy for writing such an awesome and great song! :) -
It's the song Thin Lizzy is most known for in the states , and a good one but far far from their best. The guitar rhythm during the verses is awesome and the riff is very different and hard to play well. The song is about a touring band on the road and coming home for some good times and the excitement of their fans and freinds!
