Tim McGraw & Taylor Swift: Highway Don't Care Meaning
Song Released: 2013
Highway Don't Care Lyrics
And I bet you got no idea you're going way too fast
You're trying not to think about what went wrong
Trying not to stop 'til you get where you goin'
You're trying to stay awake so I...
-
A girl just got dumped and waits for her boyfriend (or girlfriend) to call her back saying something like, "I'm sorry I broke up with you, I made a mistake. I love you, let's get back together." But then the phone falls onto the floor under the passenger seat and she goes down to get it, but can't reach it, and then she drives into a ditch and dies, (I think she dies)
-
The story is about a woman who is obviously hurting and gets distracted behind the wheel while going down the highway. She gets into an accident, and after being flown to a hospital for emergency care, is in recovery.
-
I think that its the theory about the man and woman being so in love and they just are trying to explain that the "highway don't care" but "THEY" themselves care. That's their way of telling how much they care for once another and so they described it as a quote of how the highway is just something that's there but the people themselves are in love and they themselves should care.
