Basically the meaning of this song is that it’s a break-up and it’s ended badly and the girl is wanting the singer back but he doesn’t know if they should reconcile after it ending so badly. He talks about how she ‘ has a lot to say for the one who walked away’ so this means she’s saying a lot despite being the one to initiate the split. He clearly doesn’t know whether ‘ these things take time to grow’ or whether to ‘ walk away’. He talks about never knowing if it was the right decision or the wrong one. The Conclusion is that he ‘won’t be controlled’ and he knows ‘ that I could walk away’. These lyrics are very thought provoking and have strong emotions, that’s why I think this song is so amazing.

Thanks for the lyrics! Really good.
I think this is about a relationship in trouble and the singer wants to take a second shot anyway, wants to work through thier issues.
