In the Waiting Line Lyrics
-
What i see is that she is wasting time waiting for someone who is just lying to her. She is hidden her feelings to herself and i guess she is realizing that everything is just not real. Relationship is not going to be fruitful and she needs to move on....
-
I think she is saying people overthink things, live to work, and do the unnecessary when in reality none of it matters, because this isn’t real. Do we live in a simulation? She suggests that we just might; that our lives are more like a dream than a reality. People are addicted to working, making money, and buying things, when in truth none of it is real.
So hard to explain, but I feel her big time. -
I feel like the song represents our daily life. Of you've ever heard of the quote "everything we know is a lie" than maybe you'll understand. I feel as though she is seeing life with out the labels we create for everything, with out the meaning and explanations we give every single thing In life, even seeing things like trees and the sky with out the label, just as it is. For a second she's look at everything the way it actually is and realize it's all meaningless, it only had meaning because we have it meaning by making up words and explanations. She then sees everyone as just robots, doing the same thing every single day from 9-5 like slaves. The meaning "job" is also stripped away from it and so that is why she sees them as nothing but routines. She's realizing everything is a lie and nothing but a routine and she's scared because no one sees it like she does. I think.
