Aiden: Goodbye, We're Falling Fast Meaning
Goodbye, We're Falling Fast Lyrics
in a veil of fear
drip with tears
as I gave you one last
kiss before the fall (before the fall)
Hold my hand you're so beautiful
let's escape from this life and end it all
on three we're jumping from this...
-
It is about feeling trapped inside your own self this song just pours salt into wiL`s open wound
-
The song is about love and what you would do for love.
-
A lot of Aiden's songs are about suicide so why would this one be any different?
-
A shiver rolls through my stomach as I take the first step on to ledge. She follows and I can tell she is just as scared as I. I kiss her gentle as I tell her it'll be just fine. She looks down the 20 floors and I see in her eyes that she is having second thoughts. There is nothing left for us in this world I tell her. She gently smiles as a tear slowly crawls down her face. I hug her and feel the warmth from her cold outer shell. We'll always be together in death. I give her one last kiss as we both move slowly from the edge. I tell her I love her one last time as our feet escape the rocky ledge where we took our last steps. I see her pretty face disguised in a veil of fear. dripped with tears. I see her face as suddenly there's only a shade of darkness. Yet I'm not alone she is in my arms. for ever and always.
not really in interpretation, but I wrote it and like it. -
I always assumed that it was just about two lovers committing suicide together by jumping off a building ('Hold my hand you're so beautiful, let's escape from this life and end it all'). However, the girl (or whatever - the narrator's lover) seems to be scared ('Your pretty face disguised in a veil of fear') and the narrator is reassuring her and persuading her to go through with the suicide pact ('There's nothing left for you, there's nothing left to leave').
ALTERNATIVELY, I guess that it could be that, in reality, only ONE of the lovers is there. The other is, possibly, already dead (or maybe they broke up, or something...). It could be about one of them leaving behind the memories of the other ('I know you're here inside my heart'). The bit in the middle ('Hold your hand with mine
in this picture perfect light...') could be happy memories of the dead/absent lover.
Yeah, so... yeah. There you have it. I have an 'End of yr 9' english exam tomorrow, and thought I'd try to interpret some stuff for practice for the... Interpretation... bit... Thingy. Carry on. -
I think this song is about suicide. Its really simple "dripping with tears as I give you one last kiss before the fall so hold my hand so beautiful lets escape from this life and end it all on three we're jumping from this ledge this building is tall I'm sure we'll wake up dead but I still love her" they are jumping off a building
