Hit It Lyrics
Some say if you don’t try then you won’t know how to get by now you said it wouldn’t hurt - oh no!
If I knew then what I should have known now
Up and...

#1 top rated interpretation:This song is about a guy that is in love with a girl but lost his chance with her. He maybe was shy or just didn't know what to do. He is saying he had his chance and he should have make his move but he didn't even though he could. Right now he feels pretty shit beacuse everybody around him tell him that he should learn from his mistakes and other "wise" words in which he respons that he should have known all those things before. Even though it is a happy song i feel bad about the guy because most of us have witness an incomplete love for same reasons

Some kid was prepping to tell a girl he felt for her forever, since he felt he couldn't do it off the top of his head, mostly because of her protective best friend. But at the right place with the right time, her best friend leaves her alone and he has the opportunity of a lifetime to make his move, but he chickens out and sings "Hit It" to say sorry to that girl for missing his chance with her.

I always thought this song was about some kind of house party = wreck this house
I think he had the chance to be with a girl but he met her best friend and he lost his shot to be with that first girl.
I kind of thought "she went down" means best friend fainted or passed out and the girl the si get lines went to help her so he lost his chance de to leave with her. -
He has lost his chance to love a girl. He had the chance to be her boyfriend but instead he screwed up somehow. He might have had sex with her friend, blown up the twin towers, been too shy, or something else.

I think it's about a guy regretting what he did with a girl's best friend (hitting her, not the literal hit, the sex hit :3) , then everyone telling him that he was so not right, and then the guy realizes maybe if he knew then what he should have known now, he would have made the right choice, it's kind of our life's decisions, most of them are usually wrong and if we knew before they were wrong we would not have made them, then the guy realizes it's probably late, so he moves on, and lives his way, but somewhere he does regret (I shoulda, I woulda, I coulda but I didn’t) that he did not hit the girl he liked the more. well i think that's the story, maybe :3 .

I think he was at a party and got oral sex from some girl but thought he could have had sex with her best friend who he felt was prettier. But because he was too horny to wait for the girl he thought was prettier he got head from her drunk friend and the girl he originally wanted found out or knew about it and decided he was lame and moved on. He regrets it but he has also moved on and now going to try to score with some other girl and prove it to himself that he can have sex with any girl he wants as long as he tries hard enough and doesn't try to have both friends.
