    In my opinion, the beginning of the song explains how we all begin with high expectations and a clean slate. But as time goes on, we make mistakes, life is more difficult than we thought it would be. The chorus is saying that things are going to fall apart and your expectations are going to crushed. Just like many of Andy's other works, the message is to move on and let go of the things that have happened or held you back.
