Basement Ghost Singing Lyrics
I'm laying low to keep out of your way
I hear your footsteps
Move the floorboards above my head
I have my own routine now
I'm keeping busy in my own way
I'm learning ways to not feel

This song is about a man who has returned from heaven to be closer to the one he loved before death. Desperately attempting to reach out to her, he sings in hopes of her hearing him before his time of "getting her back" is over with. Although he realizes that he cannot be with her, he still wishes for her to acknowledge his "noise". Upon the moment of her moving on, his "Lights" (Her and his life) are, in fact, gone and he is lost.
