Armor For Sleep: Being Your Walls Meaning
Being Your Walls Lyrics
And hide out inside your room
Pretend you can't feel at all
Just realize that I know how you feel now
If all I am is a distraction for you
then I can't complain that you can't feel something for me
Take all...
-
My current circumstances are quite fitting for this song, which seems to be why its meaning came so clearly, not that it was cryptic before but I appreciate it for what it means.
I began speaking to a girl in another country purely for interest and general chat, someone new to talk to. It's only been 6 days but we enjoyed it alot, having someone new to talk to, or so I thought.
Yeaterday I wasnt notified of a message she had sent, and replied saying so and apologised, and since then I've been left on read with no reply.
So its come to me that perhaps it didnt mean all that much to them.
Where he says
"If all I am is a distraction for you then I cant complain that you can't feel something for me, take all you can find in me". Its really quite literal.
I cant expect this person who I dont really know to consider me more than I would like, and I'm fine with that. If I helped them temporarily as a distraction then sk be it, if I could help them at least partly, I'm glad.I may well have been a distraction and this lack of immediate reply was cause to break off our contact l. Who knows.
But this interpretation isnt isolated to this immediate context, it's just a good way for me to portray the meaning. It's a shame, and their life isnt something I know about, as is the case for anyone and everyone, if they didnt want to continue to talk they had their reasons and that's only fair. I was a distraction, they took what I could give which was my company, and I cant complain their reasoning has led to ditch the friendship we made in our brief time talking.
