Ash: Starcrossed Meaning
Starcrossed Lyrics
You look here just like an angel sleepin'
I wish I could ease your fears
I would catch diamond tears you're weepin'
In your eyes I would hide
By your side I could defy
The forces tearing us apart
But reality, as...

This is a pretty self explanatory song about two lovers unable to have a relationship, It's something that everyone comes agross sometime in their life, so everyone can find a means of relating to this.
Namely romeo and juliette are the couple in question, because this song ends with "the poison's in our vains" which follows the sroty of the forbidden lovers.
The video interprets the song of a man who's looking back at the relationship with his girlfriend/wife and remembering the good times, suggestively that she's left him or passed away. come the end of the song it's apparent that the man's the one who's passed away and he goes to find his girlfriend who's just consumed poison to enter the afterlife to be with him.
Certainly a tragic song, but so beautifully written.
