Atoms for Peace: Default Meaning
Song Released: 2012
Default Lyrics
-
I'm my own opinion, it's about going from having absolutely nothing to gaining complete power over everything. The line where he suggests that "a pawn into a queen" means that "a pawn" is the weakest player in chess, but "a queen" is the second most valued and the strongest (or the one that can move the most ways) and when you get a pawn to the other side if the board it turns into a queen. This song is about power. When he says "I laugh now, but laters not so easy" is actually reversing the process. He is now going from queen to pawn. He looses power because he has done something he can't take back.
