I thought the song was thanking Brian Epstein for gifting them his house that he used for his homosexual rendezvous. HE wrote a song to express his, as well as the other Beatles, love for him and to express how grateful they are for him. He gifted the house because the newly wed John and Cynthia became pregnant.

Just a simple McCartney love song.

I actually heard an interview on the radio that originally aired in the early '70s. McCartney flat out stated the song was about his enjoyment in using LSD. The song isn't about a man shyly professing his love for a girl, it's about McCartney cryptically telling LSD how much he enjoys using it.

This song is about a girl you love, and you can't find a way to tell her so you get her alone, and ask if she wants to know a secret. The secret is that you love her.
