Beatles: Don't Let Me Down Meaning
Song Released: 1969
Don't Let Me Down Lyrics
Don't let me down, don't let me down.
Nobody ever loved me like she does,
Ooh she does, yeah she does.
And if somebody ever loved me like she'd do me,
Oh she'd do me, yeah she does.
Don't let me...

As a life long Beatles fan,Yoko could not lace Cynthia`s boots. The original (and best, in every sense of the word) Mrs Lennon was not the subject of the song though.

I believe the song is about drugs...of some sort. Even if mildly. There is no other love "without a past"
Also, "Don't let me down???" -
ooooh boy, these are both good. also, thank you rick for always hlpeing me find new music, both directly and indirectly. i get so hyped about contributing to this site. sometimes i just search for something to add, like i was just like, i wonder if i have any more tracks named can't let go? i didn't, so then i was like, there's got to be more good tracks out there named that. so i googled it, and found a strong arm steady track called can't let it go. thought to myself, i see that name all the time on stones throw, i should check it out. found out they did a collaboration with madlib, and i love it. thanks rick. never would've given em a chance otherwise. well maybe eventually, but you know.

It's definately about Yoko, 'im in love for the 1st time', watch 'Anthology' on dvd, instead of second guessing lyrics & meanings, McCartney explains a lot of them in the 8hrs of dvd.

Dont let me down is about the love John and Cynthia (his first wife during early bealtes)shared. This song is self explanitory. "im in love for the first time, dont you know its gonna last, its a love that last forever, its a love that has no past." He's completly smitten!
