Don't Pass Me By Lyrics

Its about a guy waiting for his girlfriend to come to his house, and she called and said she'd be late an hour or two. So it's one hour passed the original time and she still isn't there and he's wondering where she's at but remembering that she said an hour or TWO so he waits thinking she'll be there in the next hour for sure. But then she's not and its way passed two hours and she still didn't come. Then he starts getting upset thinking she doesn't love him anymore and isn't coming, and he gets real upset and angry and then finds out she was late because she got in a horrible accident on the way and got half her scalp torn off and the other half burned off in the fiery wreck. Then he's sorry for doubting her and wants her to know just how much he really did love her but she'll never know.

My guess is that it's about someone who doesnt want life to (for lack of better words) pass him by. This means that hAs to out looking for what he really wants which seems to be love in this particular song
