Britt Nicole: When She Cries Meaning
When She Cries Lyrics
She'd leave her room if only bruises would heal
A home is no place to hide
Her heart is breaking from the pain that she feels
[CHORUS]
Every day's the same
She fights to find her way
She hurts, she breaks, she hides, and...

i believe it is about a girl when is having a hard time at school and home so she uses self harm to get her mind off of the things going wrong. then see is told that God loves her and that he sees her and can help her. hope that helped you.

Wow, okay. It's a song about a girl who cuts. Yeah, so, I know many kids who do it. It's not just girls. It's guys as well. Everything is not about girls.
But it's a wonderful song. Blessings. -
Helps teenage girls from cutting themselves.

i don't think it has anything to do with abuse, when she says 'ah home is no place to hide@ I think it meand that she souldnt have t still hide and cover up in her own home but shes obviously got a problem that she cant share with. And I think 'he' Is god not a boy because it does mention god then goes on to say that hes watching over her.
just what I think. -
It's about a girl. She's depressed from bullying/abuse from parents/school. She turns to cutting, and hides it from everyone. She secretly wants someone to figure it out and help her. But no one reads deeper, everyone cares, but not enough. She doesn't find any use in life anymore. Nothing excites her. Then she finds God. And he saves her. And takes care of her, shows her the way.

im not sure but i think its about getting abused at home and cutting to relieve the pain then finding her true love also im not sure but you can also link the song with freedom like shes free from the pain because she found who she loves (sorry bout the rubbish spelling)

I think that the meaning of this song has to do with something she has felt or dealt with in the past, and the only way to really let it go is to express her feelings about it. I have listened to this song for years, and I have just recently discovered what it means.I think its sad because I can relate to just about EVERYTHING she sings about in this song. Its not the way she sings it, its the meaning behind it and what she went through. We all have our mountains that we climb! And most of the time we get out of it.
I hope this has helped anyone out there that needs the help. If you wanna talk to me personally,

No promises I will be able to get back to you that same day, but I'll get back.
I promise. -
This is talking about a girl who deals with self mutilation because of the hard life she deals with at home and school. She wonders if anyone can help her or if shes alone in this world. Then, shes told that God hears her so it will be alright. Britt Nicole is a christian singer so this is the interpretation that suits best.

i believe that this song has a good meaning about a girl who is bullied at school (bulling is a serious thing and u should report if u see or is being bullied some people try to kill there sell to get rid of it) and she has bruises from it and she doesn't want people to know so she turns to cutting her self to stop it but it doesn't help. so she tries to pray and doesn't think anyone can hear her but i starts to stop and she has Jesus to believe in. (Jesus really does save so help other people who are bullied or is a bully to stop and get help.

i think it means like this girl is going through a hard time. maybe with family or friends, and she ends up turning to cutting. i think she was just afraid that if she let heself love someone, then they would just hurt her. i think this person made her feel like she deserved the pain. so she took matters into her own hands and brought the pain to herself. then she finally found someone, a guy, that she could trust. sje loved him,as a friend. and he realized she cut, and he stopped her and gave her a reason to live.

In an interview with Britt, she said that she wrote the song for the people she meets at her shows who cut or feel rejected. She personally has never cut, but she has struggled with feeling rejected after her parent's divorce. I think the most important part of the song is when it says "don't be afraid cause seasons change, and God is watching over you, He hears you" because that is where the hope is. I think the purpose of this song was to give hope that even though you feel rejected, God never will reject you.
-
"A home is no place to hide" implies that the abuse is not at school, but from a parent. She feels lost, turns to cutting, nobody cares, they act like everything is all right. She just has to hope that God will care for her, and she discovers that he does hear her when she cries.

I think Britt Nicole might have been bullied and this her part of her story. A lot of her songs kind of reveal it. Like "Ready" says, ready to put you behind me. And obviously "When She Cries" has a bullying message. "Gold" says you're worth more than gold. "All This Time" says, I remember the pain, I was only a girl, but I grew up that day. tears were falling.... "Safe" says you're not safe. "Ready or Not" says, you want to take my light. So, yeah...

I think this song can be interpreted one of two ways one where a girl is abused at home and cuts herself to deal with her hard life and wounders if anybody is out there that cares..... untill she finds her true love and everything is alright, and the second way to interpet this song is that a girl is bullied pyhisicly and emotionaly at school, so she cuts herself for a release.when a guy friend found out that she cut herself he gets her to stop (not to mention he has a crush on her). She thinks she has finaly found the one who cares for her the most, So she puts down the knive for good.(btw sry I made this so long)
