Bryan Adams: Please Forgive Me Meaning
Song Released: 1993
Please Forgive Me Lyrics
Feels like the first kiss
It's getting better baby
No one can better this
Still holding on, you're still the one
First time our eyes met
Same feeling I get
Only feels much stronger
Wanna love you...

#1 top rated interpretation:Have you ever loved someone so much that you come on too strong, too protective, too overwhelming, just too much? Have you ever loved someone so much it hurts, yet it's amazing? This isn't a breakup song, it's a song about loving someone with everything you have, and you realize it may seem like too much for the other person, but you simply can't help it, so you're asking them to bear with you.

#2 top rated interpretation:The way i see it is a bit different from the others and this might be a long shot nyt i believe that there has been a girl who this man has been with and now they've gone they're seperate Ways. The man has been trying to maybe act "ok" with the situation even if he really has been hurt inside and now he's just coming out with all of his feelings and he tries to forgive himself for loving this girl so much that it hurts him inside. He's trying to tell himself that it is okay to feel hurt at first because it's the only way he's ever gonna get over the girl and he now knows it and is apologizing for hurting himself because he's been denying it. I think this song is about getting over a loved one who You Know you won't get back. And yeah as i said might be a long shot but i just went through Something similar so i guess that's why i see it this way.

This song has a great melody but a very sad song about a guy who wants to go back to his ex-gf.
He is a great singer too. -
It means he had her, he lost her! 'Forgive me i know not what i do' is a cop out for forgive him all the crap cos he loves her and she should accept that because deep down he loves her?? Whichever way it means she's gone, too late he loves her. Should have realised that when she was unhappy and he thought she'd stay & take it

For me this song is about a guy who truly madly loves a woman and besides the circumstances being against him he can't hold back his love. He recalls the few moments he had with her and that it meant everything to him. He's asking forgiveness for being off limits at times and still wishing more of her in all the ways like before even though he knows that she can't be his.
-
It's about unrequited love, circumstances mean they can't be together. He will always love her and he wants her to know what and how much she means to him.
-
He still remember everything they had and her and he want her back, but he knows that would never happend. He still thinks on her and she is the only one he ever wanted..so probably he cheated on her and now when she's gone, he can't get closer her. He want her to forgive him, because he can't stop loving her.
-
It is about a man that loves a woman so deeply. A man that can never tell that woman that he loves her, because he wants to be forgave by God, her and possibly other people. They can never be together, because the love is only in their heart's and soul's. Now I understand why you R.K. told me you want to marry a deaf. We can never be. I hope you are happy with your wife and I am trying to be happy with my husband, but I can never forget you or forgive you for what you have done to me.

i think this song is about a boy who did a mistake to his girl.i feel like the boy had cheat the girl or something like that.it seems he has given his love not only his girl but also someone else.because of that the girl left him.so now he cant bear the pain of her departure as he knows that she is the only one he ever need and he knows he cant live without her love.so those are the painful memories and feelings which seep to his lonely mind.
this is what i felt when i go through the lyrics.like to know others attitudes too.
