Songs about Aliens

As Pink Floyd would put it, "Is there anybody out there?" These are songs about whatever other life forms may exist off planet Earth. To wit, we haven't found any intelligent life anywhere else in the universe, and considering how scarce intelligent life is on Earth anyway, it may be very hard to find.

However, we're making steady progress towards being able to discover something. In recent years, we have discovered nearby stars ("nearby" = 40 light years or so) with planets in a habitable zone of their orbit. One star, Gliese 581 in the Libra constellation, has three such candidate planets. If nothing else, the drive to discover extraterrestrial life may lead us to find a new planet for humans to call home - then we can fly there, colonize it, and smog the planet up and make a mess of the place like we do everywhere else.
