Ringo Starr wrote this song and gave it to John years before his death. A song about slowing your mind down from having your thoughts race around all over the place, to smell the roses that is, like the saying goes. In order to zone out towards feeling and hearing nothing in the illusions that were happening around you that really weren't so so important after all that made you at times feel paralyzed.
