Songs about Farming
Green acres is the life for me! Agriculture is literally the oldest enabler of human civilization - before humans had a way to make food happen in one place consistently, they had to travel around to where the food was. It wasn't until we started to farm that the concept of real estate - this is my land because I tend it - was born, and next came cities, nations, and bureaucracy. So it's natural that farming would be a topic for many songs.
Here you'll find the music down on the farm to range from sappy psalms about the joys of digging your fingers into the warm, rich, brown soil to birth life from the loam, to rather bored attitudes that sound like they'd rather be back in the city than life a life smelling pig slop every morning. Count on farming being a song topic until we perfect growing genetically modified organisms in Petri dishes using robot labor.
