    Matthew Russell explained the song meaning to ABC Radio saying it's about "when you're in a relationship... and you form those expectations [of] your partner and sometimes that can ruin the magic.""So the song is about just being with each other, and being in the moment, and not thinking too far ahead and not over-thinking things," he continued.     It's just a song about a new relationship and how some people over-think those relationships and it ruins it. In my personal opinion, I see it as that and as a reminder that yeah, we all have expectations and that's what can ruin the magic, but some times those expectations make us try TOO HARD. It changes us. When instead, we should just be ourselves and have fun with our significant other, no one knows for sure what the future holds so just be there for one another, have fun. Keep it simple.
