Cold: Stupid Girl Meaning
Stupid Girl Lyrics
Wanna bug ya
Wanna squeeze ya
Stupid girl
Wanna touch ya,
Wanna take ya,
Wanna shut ya,
Stupid girl.
I can't take this,
Born to break this.
She's going away,
(She's going away)
What's wrong with my life today?
She's...
-
I think this song is about a stereotypical abusive, loser boyfriend/husband who treats his mate badly and she leaves him, leaving him to think about his mistakes.
Most of the lyrics fit pretty well into that interpretation, I think. Except "I can't take this/ born to break this" is a little more difficult, I'm not sure what that part means. Maybe that's the girl talking at that point, and she can't take it anymore. As for "born to break this" I'm even less sure. She was meant to leave him from the start? I don't know.
"I'm a loner,
I'm a loser,
I'm a winner,
In my mind"
-refers to how he's a loser (probably drinks too much and wears a wife-beater all the time. You know, that whole stereotype) but like most humans, doesn't blame himself. In his mind he's a winner.
"I'm a bad one,
I'm a good one,
I'm a sick one,
With a smile."
-I'm not really sure. This is also one of the more difficult parts to interpret. Perhaps he has multiple personalities (nice to his woman sometimes, mean to her at other times), and is kind of sadistic (hurts her with a smile on his face).
"Wanna love ya"
(not said romantically. Probably meant in a sexual way. Wants to MAKE love to her probably)
"Wanna bug ya"
(uh. Wants to bother her? Asking her to make her a sandwich while she's busy or something I guess)
"Wanna squeeze ya"
(can be taken both sexually and violently.)
"Stupid girl"
(stupid for all of the things she supposedly does that make him mad. Stupid for sticking around and putting up with him (though the persona may not see it that way). Maybe he calls her a 'stupid girl' a lot)
"Wanna touch ya,"
(sexual)
Wanna take ya,
(probably also sexual; 'taking' a woman often means laying her. Could also have a violent meaning, as in 'take you and hit you against the wall and teach you a lesson', etc)
Wanna shut ya,
(not sure. Wanna shut you up? Stereotype is that women talk too much. He probably doesn't want to hear her talk)
Stupid girl.
"She's going away
What's wrong with my life today?"
-She's leaving him. He's left to re-think his life and the way he's been living, to think about his mistakes and where he went wrong.
I'm probably not spot-on on a lot of this. But I'm pretty confident about a good deal of it.
