Coven: Black Sabbath Meaning
Black Sabbath Lyrics
-
Jinx Dawson in Coven was one of the first or dee first female pioneer in gothic, occultic, progressive, acid, psychedelic rock or what ever you wanna call it that started it all with the ''signs of the horns'' first in this Black Sabbath song of hers, before there was a Black Sabbath band about a sacrifice by the black mass that came out from the album ''Witchcraft Destroys Minds And Reaps Souls'' that she warned us about, along with her ''Wicked Woman'' song if we believe in such things that locked some of us behind the red doors to give our power away instead of giving it to The Good Lord. Back in the 60's she was like the opening of the ''Pandora's Box'' to the great fair world of music that was closed for a long time, but at the bottom of it all there was still Hope for humanity to be saved, and for the bands like Black Sabbath, Alice Cooper, Cream, Jethro Tull, the Yardbirds [Led Zeppelin] etc., in that when some of these band members from these bands saw a Coven show they were shocked, scared, hypnotized and mezmorized. Eventually Jinx Dawson's music was banned along with the live shows, but was given a second chance to sing a song ''One Tin Soldier'' for ''The Ledgend of Billy Jack'' movie that became a hit for her and the Coven band. Jinx Dawson was way ahead of her time to expose the secrets by some of the music she created about the dark arts that were kept locked down and not to expose to the light, but was never really acknowledged for it by the bands that followed.
