Dion and the Belmonts: A Teenager in Love Meaning
Song Released: 1959
A Teenager in Love Lyrics
It almost breaks my heart
'Cause I'm so afraid
That we will have to part
Each night I ask the stars up above
Why must I be a teenager in love
One day I feel so happy
Next day I feel so sad
I guess I'll learn
To take...

One would think it’s about teenagers, but on the other hand, it could also be adults in a relationship that makes them feel like teenagers because it’s so ridiculous. It sounds like this guy is extremely insecure and terrified of being alone. On one hand, if it is teenage love, then it is always ups and downs, But if there is an adult man, who’s trying to say He feels like a teenager because they coral so much, basically he knows it’s a terribly bad relationship, but yet he’s scared of breaking up because he will be alone. Again, very insecure.
