Elliot Smith: Alameda Meaning
Alameda Lyrics
Like some precious only son
Face down, bow to the champion
You walk down Alameda looking at the cracks in the sidewalk, thinking about your friends
How you maintain all...
-
Alameda is a neighborhood north of Hollywood in north-east Portland.. I was a 1989 classman of Lincoln high school. I probably ran into or talked with Mr. Smith sometime; wish I could of asked the man about music; perhaps he could of learned something about life from me too.
I made some really fuckin good m8's for life. we have both walked down Alameda... The cracks in the sidewalk is lovely. Beverly Cleary and the 42nd street conservative way of life. what can I say, for years I have felt like living inside Elliott's songs; like most... It is a heart shoker to feel his songs so fucking hard though.
Steve would have loved Obama!
hope you are all happy....
my love Michael
