Empire of the Sun: High And Low Meaning
Song Released: 2016
High And Low Lyrics
-
Your interpretation is the same of mine. Alice D means "LSD" and yes the music talks about the hight and low of using it.
-
Look, it's clear that these lyrics aren't some cerebral mind-maze - and that's fine, that's not their aim. For EOS the MUSIC is the medium, not the words. "I'll be your both sides, babe, your high and low" these represent opposites and one's willingness to be whomever their lover wants. It takes some pretty powerful attraction to make us willing to change our ways...my slayers out there know what I'm going on about. Meanwhile, where I find the song interesting is in the verses; who is this "Alice D" chick? Looks like she's staying out all night....AGAIN! But, the most recent time I heard the song I heard the words a little differently..tell me if you don't here "LSD you're on your way home" "She sees stars and rocket ships"...
This inference opened up a whole line of thinking... Plus, I don't mean to stereotype, but watching these guys in concert and checking out their videos: SOMEwhere along the line SOME drugs were involved. Stay Klean Kids! Peace!
