Europe: The Final Countdown Meaning
Song Released: 1986
The Final Countdown Lyrics
But still it's farewell
And maybe we'll come back
To earth, who can tell?
I guess there is no one to blame
We're leaving ground
Will things ever be the same again?
It's the final countdown
The final...

#1 top rated interpretation:It sounds a bit like the takeoff of a spaceship filled with brave explorers or pioneers going on the first mission to other worlds (maybe we'll come back to Earth/We're heading for Venus). They have to stay together because they're all they have, that is to say; They need to get along and work together because there's nobody else who will. They can only hope that our blue planet has been heard of throughout the stars ('Cause maybe they've seen us and welcome us all). They'll miss their home (We'll all miss her [Earth] so).

It's the weirdos who think earth will be so overpopulated, they have to leave & go find another planet to screw up.
Why they left the obvious evil shift of the singer's blue Right eye to black & then back to normal after a hard blink [in plain view] is beyond me. It makes possession look mainstream.
I guess that's how dumb the globalists think we are.
Or maybe people actually pay no attention to the creeping trap about to be sprung... -
The Final Countdown by Europe, classic song and classic band.
The real interpretation of this song is seen at wikipedia.
For the latest comment, I think you really analyzed the lyrics of this song. I don't believe in reincarnation. But I believe in Heaven and Hell.

To me, this song could totally be about suicide. (except for the "leaving together" part - which would mean that it is a collective suicide, but still, "together" could be interpreted as the person with him/herself.)
"Maybe we'll come back to earth" would be a reference to reincarnation ?
"I guess there is no one to blame", it almost sounds like a suicide note. (Like, mamma it's not your fault!)
"Will things ever be the same", like he's convincing himself that his life is finished ; nothing can ever be right.
"Heading for Venus", looking for love he hasn't found on earth.
"We stand tall", he's trying to remain dignified.
"Maybe they've seen us and welcome us all", angels, gods... ?
"Light years to go", leaving earth/life.
"Things to be found", hope for an afterlife
"I'm sure we will all miss her so", because it's not an easy decision to make.
What do you think ? -
Venusians that where rejected for their attitude and ubdesirable behaviors where sent for a lesson down to earth, that people can not fit up to the social standards and disrupted by their wrong example back home, needed a earthly near by hell life to teach them a lesson many managed to change but many failed this people hoped to be reaccepted where now are unwellcome to their Venus inheritage.

I think its about a rocket or a spaceship taking off.
-
Someone said it was written after the Challenger Disaster. Nope not true. It was written and recorded well before. The song, hauntingly, was released about a month after the Challenger.

They're going to space, so they need a catchy song to listen to. Duh
