I always thought she was singing..."Reminiscing bout the days I had a Mustache." My interpretation was that she never could afford a salon wax but now she can.

The only thing that bothers me is at one point in the song she says "reminiscing on days when I had a mustang". As if owning a mustang is so low class. She can buy 10 mustangs now if she wanted.
Don't get me wrong though, I do love this song. -
I think this song means that no matter how famous she is, she is still the same girl that she used to be before she was famous. The world might change the way they look at her, but she really hasn't changed
