First Aid Kit: Ghost Town Meaning
Ghost Town Lyrics
All of these traffic signs and lonesome bars blind the view
I swear I can be better
I could be more to you

The video implies they both died & are stuck in the place where they passed still hanging on to their previous lives & still able to see visions of the people that meant so much to them. Hoping they will meet again in the afterlife

I think it’s about someone who was left for another person and committed suicide “attached to these rail road tracks” and the song is the last thoughts before death.
Mabye they are looking from the after life at there old life. -
This song, to me, is about those who you've cared deeply for in the past and, for whatever reason, could not make it work with. Lovers, friends, family, etc. Those who were your closest friends when you were 15 are, all too often, not even in your life by 25, but the ones you have the deepest connections with, even if you're unable to truly see and recognize them, will return.
That's what this song means: the singer and the object (a former lover, apparently) were once as close as could be but, for one reason or another, could not be together. They have then ventured onto their own life experiences while constantly returning to one another in some way, shape, or form. The singer's belief is that there is a reason for it, even if the object has moved beyond a reasonable reconciliation, but there will always be something to bring them together. -
She is on a inner mission to accomplish, the goals she has already set in life. She has to take the risk and go follow her path...she thinks.... Maybe if your still available I'll come back and give you another try....
