   Future's song "Mask Off",the mask symbolizes the cautiousness or unwillingness that he has go show all the true colors of his past and his personality. Mask on is symbolic of a fake or incomplete version of who he is. Mask on is him being cautious about what he shows about himself. He says, Fuck it, mask off, meaning that he is letting it all goshowing his fans his complete and true self.

    If you listen to the original prison song and then listen to this one then you realize the original is about racism against blacks during the segregation and mask off is about how it feels like you have no choice but to break the law to make a living sometimes due to the culture that has been forced apon black neighborhoods. Giving up on trying and just giving into the mask of being "hard" or "gangster"
