Gym Class Heroes: Ass Back Home Meaning
Song Released: 2011
Ass Back Home Lyrics
I don’t know, where you’re going
Or when you’re coming home
I left the keys under the mat to our front door
For one more chance to hold you close
I don’t know, where you’re going
Just get your ass back home

A guy gave me this song on July 1st 2017
To me it is the pain of his father
Its the way hes blocking out emotions
Its the way hes trying to not connect because he cant
Its about his 50 speeding tickets because hes always in a hurry to go to a new place like it has a great
" destination "
Its about how we stayed up laughing about Scary Movie
Its about how he got picyures out to show me his life hes blocking out
Its about his very being and how he messed up so he just goes goes goes
Its about if you gave it time and he slowed down
Itd all be okay.
In reality this IS NOT possible so we live it in a song.
Thats our forever.
I get that. -
I personally think it's about a person whose lover who went away for a really REALLY long time for whatever reason, and she/he misses her/him.... And just wants him/her back home.
Meanwhile, the person's lover misses her/him as well, and says that even if so many have potential to be his/her new lover or something, they won't matter and will promise to reach home again, even it takes months or years.
I can sort of relate..... It's a really addictive song for me. Even if I don't know who Gym Class Heros and Neon Hitch are!
