I just went to his gig last night and he said that this was inspired by an interview at at USA radio station where the DJ said "whaddya think of the women in SanFrancisco, aren't they fabulous?" and he said "yes but I'm married with kids" and the DJ said "you can look at the menu but you don't have to eat!" which is one of the lines from the song. I think its about thinking of the consequences of your actions
