Imagine Dragons: Believer Meaning
Song Released: 2017
Believer Lyrics
I'ma say all the words inside my head
I'm fired up and tired of the way that things have been, oh ooh
The way that things have been, oh ooh
Second thing
Second, don't you tell me what you think that I can be
I'm the one...
-
I think this song is about how a young person experiences pain and how it makes him grow through it as he sees the beauty in the struggle. The pain made him to be stronger and somehow made him to know God. And hence he became a believer.
-
I feel like this song is more about emotion and mental pain than physical. For me it holds kinda a being yourself thing... you must endure pain to believe in yourself?
-
Believer is about someone who has another one controlling them into doing odd things and if they do not succeed in the one’s demands, they will be harmed. And the person being controlled realizes where he/she was wrong and stands up to the one controlling him/her.

althought i agree a lot with the old/young age interpretation,i have another viewpoint atleast for myself
the older man representing life
the singer faces life after he is shown boxing the air,and being compared to his younger self(the kid)
at first the singer is hyped and confident, taunting life and dodging the hits
then he takes a couple of punches,a short scuffle brings him down from the clouds, into reality
now looking more serious and angry, hiting life again shortly before being hit back harder
implying on the fact that not only does the singer get hit more, and in succesion, but when he hits back at the older man,he doesn't flinch, taking the hits and showing no effect
soon after life gets the best of him, knocking him down, the singer now weak and tired turns around, only to be knocked out instantly
but he gathers his strenght, pulls himself together to face life again, shown as he jumps in fist first, ready to take it all
he beats life down to the ground, and keeps on hitting with all the rage he has gathered ,but when the camera faces the old guy, instantly after getting hit he turn his head back to get up,showing no sign of being stopped,
the singer now experienced and used To life and the fighting fares alot better in the next battle shown, but it keeps on going
"i want to stop"as even if he can take all this,he can't do it endlessly, but he is reminded
we can't
because this is how things are
after accepting the fact that this is a constant battle, and no matter how fierce or durable you are,you will fall and you will rise, but you will never win,and if you keep getting up-you also won't ever loose
then the old fighter is shown lying down, defeated
because the singer is now accepting to the nature of his life, and that
is the true victory
far fetched but its how i feel the song -
I think this song is pretty straight forward, it's about how pain made him stronger. I could go way deeper into it but that some the strait forward answer.
-
The beginning is how the singer wants to kind of let out a lot of emotions they’ve been bottling up and how they don’t want their life to be controlled by someone else. The middle part is basically saying that he’s been going through depression since childhood and is letting it out through things like music and writing. “Seeing the beauty the pain” is him seeing that to get you need to go through pain the get to your goals. He is made a believer about that by experiencing it.
-
I think the reason why they made believer is because is telling you no matter what pain your going threw right now never to give up on life or what you love because it will just make you have more pain. It's making people stare at you or looking at you and thinking you don't care bout your self or anything else but I love this song by imagine dragons.
-
I believe that the deeper meaning behind it is like no matter what life throws at you that you can still walk out of the situation. It is like the fight of america and how when something bad is thrown our way that we only come together and become stringer and doesn't let that one thing break us down. We alway will make it out and it will only make us stringer and believe in ourselves more than before.
-
I think that the song is about pain in life. All the way through life you are going to experience pain. And although we all want pain to stop we can't stop it like it says "I wanna stop, we can't".When you watch the video he is boxing a man I think that man I representing pain and is tryin to beat or defeat it.
-
I just k that when he sings "You made me a believer" is to show that he is coming to know God.

This is really a elementary school essay and his mean teacher made him use corny transitions and rhyme.he is really mad his teacher is forcing him to do all this work. His mean teacher said he needs to focus and his brain and stuff but he said no you hater I want to be a Pokémon master like ash Ketchum.
-
To me it's about self struggle and also a little about God and jesus
-
Try to see this poem as a suicide note. It changed my point of view.
-
All is about AS, AS is 24h pain. The song is about life with Ankylosing Spondilitis.
