Imagine Dragons: Underdog Meaning
Underdog Lyrics
Father, father, father
Take me to the top
Early morning wake me up
Father, father, father
This is not enough
Hey, that sounds like my luck
I get the short end of it
Oh I love to be
I love to be the underdog,...

#1 top rated interpretation:To me this song is about someone who isn't very accomplished in life and he/she wants to be popular but when this person finally accomplishes something, he/she realizes how much more it will take to be only the underdog and that it will take a lot of time to be popular and not just the underdog.
-
the song means that , mostly you think ur self as you are not getting a headstart or are behind other people in any field , just due to luck. But the song says i want to be , behind in the start and appear as a lesser threat, but even then ,remaining unnoticed in beginning, you end up winning.

I believe this song is about being unnoticed or a bit behind or lower ranked than other people, but they are okay with that and accept it. They may know that they are more but don't feel the need to compete against everyone else and get to the top of the leaderboard. Other people don't always notice them or perceive them as a threat to themselves or their work, but when the "underdog" wants to do something, they can be powerful.

I think it's about an underdog who is ok with being themselves because they can't be anyone else..
