Song Released: 2016
Don't Be So Shy Lyrics
Rest your hand
Close your eyes,
You're all right
Just lay down
To my side
Do you feel my heat
On your skin
Take of your clothes
Blow out the fire
Don't be so shy
You're all right
You're all right
Take of my...

#1 top rated interpretation:If you see the official videoclip… you’ll know this is about a lesbian relationship.
The one singing would be the ‘more experienced’ whilst the ‘shy’ one is the one who is new to that kind of relation.
Definitely is not about a priest, or anything about that; I’m not sure why it says ‘bless me father’ but in other part of the song it says ‘bless me further’ could it be that we are listening wrongly? I don’t know, but for sure is about lesbianism, check for yourself!:

#2 top rated interpretation:Its about two people Who are about to involve in a sexual act, maybe for the first time and they're trying to make it happen by encouranging each other, saying nice thing reciprocatively.

#3 top rated interpretation:This song is neither about incest, nor about a pedophile priest... It is a metaphor about the deeper meaning of sex, of making love to a person that you really love.
The song is basically a woman seducing her partner to make love to her and describing her feelings.
The song alternates between the physical (carnal) aspects of sex - e.g. heat of my skin, feel my hips in your hands - and the spiritual aspects. If you make love to someone whom you really love, it brings you closer to God. Hence the references to "bless me Father,I saw God, holy water", etc. -
Sexual fantasy with role playing...
A fantasy involving the power hierarchical relationship between the confessor and Father (Priest)—only reversed: an authoritative seductress dominates the shy male Priest.
Just a sexy song. No pedaphilia intended, there’s enough language to illustrate a religious backing with “Father”. No incest intended either, by the same token. -
Is it possible that it's about the sinning of sex before marriage? Perhaps she is looking for a forgiveness from the god of her religion. It could also potentially be about the incest between her and her father, maybe what was once a rape has turned into something more, a desire to be taken advantage of. As suggested in other posts it could also be a fetish with a priest or the Christian religion.

-
A sexually excited woman persistedly tries to persuade a priest to have sex with her. Throughout the whole song she is addressing to him - not vice versa. He is shy and tried to avoid her, but she still insisted on it over and over... It's hard to distinguish her imagination from reality. All of this could have been fantasized in her head.
-
In my personal opinion is about love on a really deep spiritual way, saying it connects you to god.
-
it is all about blasphemy. insulting church and other peoples religious beliefs guarantees popularity.
-
It's about a young woman having sexual relations with a priest.

I really like the song, specially the remix.
After wathcing the official video I think that it´s about love between two girls. Maybe she says "blessed me father" insted "forgive me" or something like that. -
I dont think its about incest, I think its more about how having sex for her is spiritual and takes her closer to god.
-
I would say it is clearly about the abuse in the Catholic Church and whether it was reciprocal or forced, it's good that people are prepared to bring it out and talk about it, in song or the news. I hope it helps some who are yet to tell their story to come out and speak up also.

she feels that connecting with him means spiritual enlightenment, so she keeps doing it. It has a metaphorical meaning.
-
Very fucked up.
It might be talking about incest. -
It's about a young girl that is molested by a priest. Whether it is he that convinces her, or in her young naivety, she believes that she is getting closer to God Himself by accepting her fate and not denying the priest his pleasure with her. Believing this predatory relationship is more about her love for God than about the priest, she too begins to find the experience pleasurable, so much so that eventually it is she that seeks out the priest for her own fulfilment.
