Fly Over States Lyrics

A couple guys in first class on a flight
From new York to Los Angeles,
Kinda making small talk killing time,
Flirting with the flight attendants,
30, 000 feet above, could be Oklahoma,
Just a bunch of square cornfields and wheat farms,...

It's about the states that everyone flies over...but have you ever actually been there? The small town places that are often overlooked and neglected have true, rich histories and stories behind them. Even though they may just seem like some state you fly over, that are there for a reason!

The song is about the beauty, uniqueness and the people who live in these hidden gems of the USA, that are often overlooked. Right on Jason for writing Fly Over States and reminding your fellow Americans of what a great nation we live in!

It's about appreciating the middle of nowhere places. The backroads and the small farm towns. It's about appreciating all the hard work a farmer does to get food into your mouths. Maybe you'd understand that if you weren't so caught up in city life.

its about all the small towns that aren't appriciated i live in a small town in New Mexico and i can tell you we apriciate our hardworking farmers, i come from a farming family and that is one of the thing we do no matter what but most dont even if we do supply cotton, pecans, and chile(the amazing hatch green chile) they dont appriciate us.

Country music is almost dead, little pop snowflakes with air in their heads.
Nashville dreams of money in big Brentwood beds while downtown Twinkie bars are all in the red... New gay country

You people are dumbasses! First of all, that fat piece of blubber did NOT write the song, he doesn't even know what a fly overstate is! He grew up in the CITY of Macon.... not a small town. He is just another southern poser. He is not country. There is a difference between country and southern. And he doesn't even write the songs he sings.

it means you never see what happens where people live in the nowhere places and he is just saying that he is proud that GOD made things so that people could see where all of their things come from

It means that we nobodys really really matter. We really really do. I am former NYC now living in TN. The fly over staters should always acknowledge their superiority and never hint that they would ever care what new york or l.a. would think of their state.
