   You are all wrong. "look what youve done" was written by Nic Cester and it was written in response to HIS DAD CHEATING ON HIS MOM. listen to the lyrics, "oh look what youve done youve made a fool of everyone, oh well it seems like such fun until you lose what you had won"

   The song "look what you've done" is about a break up. In the part were he says,"Take my photo of the wall if it just won't sing for you," he's saying that if he's not good enough for her, then she shouldn't be with him. Then he points out that,"All that's left has gone away," meaning that there is nothing there between them as far as he is concerned.He then tells her,"Theres nothing there for you to prove,"...which is saying something is obvious such as cheating, which she would've done, because aparently, he's not good enough for her. Then it goes into the chorus where he says "look what you've done you've made a fool of everyone" which means that he thought highly of her until she cheated and he felt like he was made a fool to thing so highly of someone who would treat him that way. Now he says "Oh well. It seems likes such fun Until you lose what you had won"...this line states that he is saying,"Oh well, its to bad for you. Cheating seemed like a lot of fun until you realized that you lost what you had won." Now I could continue explaining my interpretation but i'd end up with a whole essay probably.

   i think it's sexual harassment and friend involving situation, one friend abuse of a couple of girls in a known group of people and years later all people find out what that dude did, so that's the response of the group to that guy.

   To me it's about a man coming to terms with his girlfriend's drug addiction:
   
   "Take my photo off the wall if it just won't sing for you" means to me, ...don't look at me if you won't bother to listen to the words I say or consider how your actions effect me. "Cause all that's left has gone away and there's nothing there for you to prove" ...the person you once were has gone away, the trust I had for you has gone away and you don't have to try and prove you are not using. "Oh, look what you've done you've made a fool of everyone." ...you got high. now you are coming down and freaking out on me. Making a fool of us both. "Oh well, it seems like such fun until you lose what you had won" ...oh, It seems like such a fun idea until the euphoria fades and you have to deal with the consequences, which is losing what you had won (trust). "Give me back my point of view cause I just can't think for you" ...you know how I feel about you using but give me my opinion back because it's meaningless to you. I can't make the right decisions for you. "I can hardly hear you say what should I do, well you choose" ...You won't come to me for help, you ask yourself should I use today or not, and the choice is yours."
   
   I think this song can be interpreted on personal experiences and clearly this song sings to me about an addict in my life. I can see how it would work for cheating too.

   For me, this song is about love between friends which remained one sided. The lover feels that she had made a fool of everyone by the way she had pretended to love him though she never value his feelings. He now feels that he has been pushed to the limits, yet he can't help lamenting that she'll someday realise what she had lost after it's all over.

    This song could be about a break-up or falling out of a friendship, really. It's about loss, how he lost someone.
    It's such a beautiful song & it makes me cry 'cause it reminds me of my break-up & I've had a few "ex-friends" :(

    I have a very different interpretation of this song. To me it is about the falling out of a previously seemingly perfect friendship.
    
    "Take my photo off the wall if it just won't sing for you" Your friend seems to always find faults in you but still says you are important to them though they never show. They take you for granted and you wonder why they don't erase you if you're not good enough for them.
    
    "Oh well, seems like such fun until you lose what you have won" Your friend keeps pulling you down making you feel worthless but they always think you come back, well this time they won't know how much they lose until you walk away from them forever.

    I agree that this song could be about a breakup, but look at the lyrics of the Beatles' song Sexy Sadie. They are almost exactly the same. Even though Jet has some good songs, many of them are copies of other songs.

    Actually, listen to Sexy Sadie by the Beatles. They are the same exact lyrics, and Jet does that in a couple of their other songs. I love Jet and everything, they are like the best new rock band....... But they need to get their own lyrics because the Beatles are way better than Jet is, no offense, but they are.
