Jhene Aiko: The Worst Meaning
Song Released: 2014
The Worst Lyrics
Tell me what you say
Come again?
If you cannot stay down
Then you do not have to pretend
Like there is no way out
I shoulda' never let you in
Cause you got me face down
And don't take this personal
But...

#1 top rated interpretation:She fell for that guy. "The Guy". The guy that got all the girls. She was warned not to even give him a chance in that way because everyone knew he was no good and got in and out of relationships, but she didn't listen.
He met her and instantly tried to get with her and got it right. He didn't mean to fall in love and simply told her those sweet nothings, as he usually did with other girls. But then he realised that his routine wasn't working on her and had to try harder because she wasn't like those other girls. She was strong, beautiful, independent("You know that I do not depend on nothing or no one")and that girl that none of the guys had the guts to go for, simply because she was worth that much and seemed "hard to get". That's what made him fall deeply in love with her.
And when he finally admitted to himself that she was the one, he realised that, that was unlike him and that he wasn't ready to settle down. And just like that, it was done. Not gone, not lost but done. They didn't have any intention of hurting each other, in fact all they wanted was to save each other from the pain of knowing that they were made for each other but that he wasn't ready for it and she wasn't prepare to be with someone who didn't exactly want it at that moment in time. They both knew that what they had was real, but the time was wrong. But it was too late. Their hearts belonged to one another, and they both knew it.
This all spread over a couple of years. She now finally can confess all that she feels for him without feeling the intense pain that she once did. She still hurts and he probably does too, but the last thing that she wants is for him to come back as he promised because she doesn't want him to fake his feelings and feel that he has to.
He knows he hurt her, but tries to forget about it but he can't because he just cant forget her. It's inevitable, she doesn't mean to but she does ("I don't need you, but I want you. I don't mean to, but I love you"). She ends off with the words: "But I love you" meaning despite everything she will always love him. -

#2 top rated interpretation:I simply think the song is saying that that he's the worst because he took her heart knowing he couldnt handle a relationship and left. Basically people told her about him and she didn't listen because he came out of nowhere and swept her off her feet. Now she still wants him but most definitely doesn't need him :P
Something's also telling me there's a lesson in here somewhere. (Some men don't mind taking what they want and disappearing afterwards and they'll lie to get it.) -

#3 top rated interpretation:The worst really has nothing to do with her killing her boyfriend. She's explaining how this guy pushed his was into her heart and suddenly decided he didn't want her anymore. He knows that he's captured her heart and he doesn't care that he's breaking it. She's showing defiance by talking about how she doesn't need him anymore and that she shouldn't have ever let him into her life in the first place despite the fact that she still wants him. He's basically taken her heart and crushed it into tiny little pieces and stepped on it. And as a final act of rebellion she kills him to show just how much she doesn't need him.

Love is blind because you love a person so much that you can't see through their faults. It's painful

I think it mean that her and his guy had a friends with benefits but then they ended up having a real relationship but she didn't see it was a bad relationship l and he got bored and left her but she got attached however when she left she saw it was a bad environment so she has to find a way to let go even when she loved him still.

I believe its about her wanting him to be honest with her because he makes it seem like she's trapping him. She dont wanna hold him down. She loves him but she dont need him. Its if he just wanna be friends with benefits but she dont want that to mess up her head. She's so fed up with it she kills him to ease her pain. He got what he wanted from her and he has too much pride. Once he finally got her he started acting different.

THE WORST is about Jhene falling for someone she she doesnt want.to fall for;She knows she doesnt need him but she wants him. After he"got what he wanted, nothing was ever the same" .After he had his way with her he changed.
-
the worst represents the worst relationship which is not clear and couldn't be revealed. she can't be sure whether he is being honest about his feelings or he is just faking easily. because if he fakes all the time it's not worth to give time and love and all the other things. even she tries to say she doesn't need him, she has great expectations from him and she wants to be loved in return. she can't tell it like this but she says she loves him anyway instead of. this sentence has the meaning that she wants to be loved too.
-
The Worst, in my opinion, is about a toxic relationship.... being madly in love with someone that you know is not good for you. I think he feels bad that they are in a bad situation, but she doesn't want him to pity her or pretend that he feels what she feels if he doesn't. She wasn't trying to fall for this guy, because she heard he was no good, but it happened anyway.

the song means that the boy she was with was the worst. she killed him and then she was saying she wanted him but that she didn't need him.
