I think that this song is reflecing on them having a big dream and have the perfect girl. The lyrics 'i dont wanna wake up'in my opinion means that they have a perfect world and life and they feel like its a dream which they do not want to wake up from.

my thought on what the meaning behind this song is that ya no like if that was a dream they dont want wake from this dream fantasy thought so eg
If say someone liked someone but hey went sure if the girl like them back so in their fantasy they think they have got they have got the girl but in reality they might not have -
Just heard them explain it on T4, apparently "eyes wide shut" is basically entering a perfect dream world when you close your eyes.
