Karmin: Brokenhearted Meaning
Song Released: 2012
Brokenhearted Lyrics
Yeah
Uh, come on
Yeah
This is more than a typical kinda thing
Felt the jones in my bones when you were touching me
Oh, oh
Didn't want to take it slow
In a daze, going crazed, I can barely think
You're replaying in my brain, find it...

I was about ten or fifteen years old but my parents are engineers but I’m really that good with music and so that they wrote that song to participate. But those two song anthems are amazing but we had that dreams can come true.
-
I think this song is about to break your heart out because it’s very typical of my life the broken hearted is very important to us but this song is about my personal life with Joshua, and also my sister, Olivia, and she helps me through my good times, and my friend Ashlyn helped me wrote it with me and she had amazing talent of music, and so I can work with her, and I can practice guitar with Joshua, and I can go to Capernaum whatever I wanted too.

I think this song belongs to the band, but we’re going to record it. Of course, traveling. Other places also we had fun.
-
I would like to have this record out the date, you’re lucky to have this album. We shouldn’t do traveling. We’re spending time our royal services. And we also could be more practical.
-
I have my broken hearted boyfriend Jake, because I have more important part of the year going back to tech! Because it had been great! Because I’m going to be a proud girl! Because I’m the best girl I’ve ever had in my own! Jake is a nice boy because he’s going to be eighteen! My age and so, he will be at tech and see me and Eddie.

The video was directed by Marc Klasfeld. The video was released on Vevo on March 22, 2012, with a cameo appearance by Hugh Jackman. The story shifts back and forth between the previous day and the present day. The video starts out with Amy entering the studio late as the band is already in mid-rehearsal, and her bandmates give her concerned looks as to why she seems so out of it, while Amy starts shedding her outdoor garbs to loosen up. She sits down on her bed and trades her discomforting heels for the comfort of throw rugs under her bare feet, grabbing hold of her mic stand and flashing her band a reassuring gesture. They begin to perform "Brokenhearted". The night before, Amy, Nick, their band members and other friends party in an apartment, complete with drinking, dancing, a game of darts and table tennis. Amy thinks she and Nick have a romantic connection. The next morning, Amy furiously checks her phone to see if Nick has called, but he hasn't. At the end of band rehearsals, it turns out that Nick is already seeing someone else. - wikipedia
PEACE OUT -
Being promised the world by your lover only to realise the tragedy after many painful cycles of hope/disappointment that all the promises were empty, worthless words, never to substantiate, because you were fooled into pinning your hopes, dreams and invest all your heart into a relationship and into a person that didn't reciprocate or value you and your needs equally to their own. A selfish lover.

I think the song is about a breakup between amy and nick. In the beginning of the video u see a moment when amy comes into the room sees nick and focuses on getting to the mic and her passion about how they rushed into the relationship. She still loves him waiting for her phone to get a message from him, she wants to do anything for him and he doesn't love her back so they finally figure out that they shouldn't be together and becomes friends and even though she is disappointed. He moves on with another woman at the end.

My interpretation of the meaning behind the song Brokenhearted, written and proformed by Karmin, is that a girl, Amy (lead female vocalist of Karmin), is so in love with her boyfriend, Nick (male in group), that she has been annticipating his return from whereever he might be, leave it to be work, vacation, or even just his house. She is clearly excited abiut his return, due to the fact that this is a happy, up-beat song and the lyrics "See, I've been waiting all day for you to call me baby," and "Let's get up, let's get on it." However, she is also nervous about him coming back, whether it be that she thinks his feelings have changed for her or that he won't be the boyfriend he was. I figured this because of the lyrics "Got a little trouble, yep and now I'm pacing," which state that she has gotten herself into some trouble and is anxiously walking because of her nerves and "sipping on a Patrón just to calm my nerves." This lyrics shows most prominitely that she is indeed nervous. It clearly states that she has nerves and is drinking Patrón, a strong tequila acholoic drink that is known as the "Anxious Man's Drink" because of its amazing skill at clearing the mind and calming the nerves quickly. Amy was most likely drinking this toclam the nerves about seeing Nick and to clear her mind about what he might say or do.
