Keith Urban: You'll Think of Me Meaning
Song Released: 2004
You'll Think of Me Lyrics
With the moon shining bright as headlights on the interstate
I pulled the covers over my head and tried to catch some sleep
But thoughts of us kept keeping me awake
Ever since you found yourself in...

It’s a play on words, he pronounced memories like “mammeries”, another way to insinuate breasts, and take your Cat is self explanatory!

No matter what happened, he or she will always think of that person. He or she will start having regrets and miss the person. Won’t be able to get the person out of their mind or heart , memories will come flooding back..but it will be much too late. The person they done wrong has already gotton fed up with being treated this way and moved on.

This is about a guy who is going through a breakup and is sitting up all night because he cant stop thinking about her. she obviously broke up with him. He is starting to realize that she has moved on with someone else and it is causing him immense pain but he is a great guy who treated her well and did everything right so he knows that in the end she will realize what she did but at that point it will be too late. He doesnt want this but has to do it for himself. Sound like when she was moving on she was dragging him along because she's prob narcisistic and gave him false home that something may work out when in reality she was playing him, moved on, and after he realizes this he's crushed but gets the closure of moving on as he knows he will be alright in the end

Hey, it's 4 am here in Southern Kansas lol - For me it means a man that gave his all and still got burned in the end due to things out of his control. He really did love this girl with every part of his being, yet she treated him bad to the point that one of them left.
His love for her was real because he is still holding on to the past trying to figure out a way to let all the pain inside just wash out to the ocean, and she moved on to another man obviously without any problems, yet the man stayed single which shows that he held on hoping it was all just a bad dream. Reality finally set in early in the morning after he laid there all night trying to put all the pieces together of why everything failed. He then basically tells her she will one day see all the pain she caused for no reason, but by the time she figures out it out she will be too late.
Btw, I went on my first date in a year last night since my break up and I feel alive again, and what I wrote above is what I actually went through over the past year. Never give up. -
I think the song is a break up song . The girl he loves broke up with him & now he's trying to slowly get over her .
"Thoughts of us kept keeping me awake" he obviously still misses her , but she cheated on him , and he realizes theres nothing left to talk to her about, he feels betrayed, and he's starting to realize he doesn't need someone like her anyway , and i think one day when her new man leaves her , she is gonna realize what she had and how she screwed it up , and that he will finally be over her & healed from the pain she caused . -
I think this is a break up song for the man who did all the right things with a lady, but still lost her for whatever reasons women can complain about.
"Take your freedom"
"Take your space"
"Take your reasons, but you'll think of me."
It's like he is saying, you can have all those reasons, but I know I did right by you. I know I treated you well, and when you realize the mistake you made, I will have moved on.
It's like he is moving on, knowing he did the right thing though.
