Three of a Perfect Pair Lyrics

She is susceptible
He is impossible
They have their cross to share
Three of a perfect pair...
He has his contradicting views
She has her cyclothymic moods
They make a study in despair
Three of a perfect pair...

One
One too...

    addendum:

cyclothymic disorder is a milder form of bipolar disorder in which the swings are less severe... hence "three" of a perfect pair...

this song is about a dysfunctional marriage... if the roles are reversed it -closely- describes my marriage... i am cyclothymic - tough for both in a relationship...

    marriage is tough!

When a man and a woman form a relationship and eventually marry, they are still two individuals... but they are also ONE couple.

Two individuals plus one united couple = three! That is, the relationship takes on a life of its own, and becomes something separate from the two people who form it.

And since every individual has his or her own quirks, idiosyncrasies and neuroses, ANY romantic relationship (even a happy one) is bound to seem almost schizophrenic, since it involves two totally separate and distinct personalities.

That can make relationships complicated, even a real mess. And that's what the song is all about: two people who are TRYING to form a union, but finding that their different personalities make it tough... maybe even impossible.

Even if two people are truly wonderful individually, they may make each other miserable if they try to form a permanent bond.
