Kiss: 100,000 Years Meaning
100,000 Years Lyrics
It must have been a bitch while I was gone
You mind if I sit down for a while
You'll reacquaint yourself with my style
Well, how could you have waited so long
It must have been a bitch while I was gone
All...

Occurs to me that 100,000 years is how long it would take light from our sun (at the speed of light) to reach the edge of our galaxy!

A Stanley/Simmons co-effort, this song concerns the effect of light-speed space travel and its attendant time-warp effects on a lovers relationship. Apparently, it was a "Bitch" while he was gone. An interesting song for a number of reasons, among them the two-part harmony guitar "solo" just prior to the drum solo. In concert, Frehley always played this part alone, which is a shame. As a harmony, its is rather striking. Alone, it is pretty lame. Surely, he and Stanley could have played the parts together. Gene's strong base track also stands out on this great song from the first album.
