Krewella: Human Meaning
Human Lyrics
Does anybody care
What I'm feeling?
I wanna disappear so nobody can hear me when I'm screamin'
Cus I could use a hand sometimes
Yeah I could use a hand sometimes
They say pain is an illusion
This is just a bruise...

#1 top rated interpretation:I think this song is about, someone who makes mistakes and thinks he/she is the only one. Even though they are not, he or she may feel lost because of those mistakes they've made.

2TOP RATED
#2 top rated interpretation:I think it is meaning depression. I am only human as in people can really hurt. Sometimes your pain goes unnoticed and you can't sleep. They say it won't stay that it is temporary and it is not always that way. The weight of the world is she is alone and feels overwhelmed by the pressures of life. Where are you now meaning you left me at a point I needed you. People just need to help others because they are indeed only human. I don't know if it is right but it is how I see it.

I think that this is about betrayal, bullying,a hard life and most likely depression.
On the first phrase, where the singer says
"Is anybody there?
Does anybody care
What I'm feeling?
I wanna disappear
So nobody can hear
Me when I'm screamin'"
This phrase shows that somebody is most likely feeling depressed,or either being bullied in a harsh way, as said as this song might have a connection to that. They feel helpless and is in need of it. Unfortunately, nobody came to help them, not even their friends. They think that nobody cares about them anymore.
"They say pain is an illusion
This is just a bruise
And you are just confused
But I am only human
I could use a hand sometimes
I am only human [2x]"
This chorus phrase shows that the person is being told off with statements like ("It's not like it'll last longer, anyways.") and "(Deal with it. It's good.")The first sentence of the phrase shows that the person thinks that any who say the bracketed above to them has never felt 'pain' before, or has been happy their whole life. These people have never felt such gloom in their life before. The rest of the phrase states that the person is trying to say to the others that they don't understand their feelings truly, like it will all go away, somehow.
Is anybody there?
Does anybody care
What I'm feeling?
I wanna disappear
So nobody can hear
Me when I'm screamin'
'Cause I could use a hand sometimes
Yeah, I could use a hand sometimes
They say pain is an illusion
This is just a bruise
And you are just confused
But I am only human
I could use a hand sometimes
I am only human [3x]
The night is bitter cold
I wonder if you know
That I'm sleepless
Waitin' like a ghost
When I need you the most
I go unnoticed
In this first half of the phrase, the person states that they are having problems in forgetting or having a hard time tackling the hard times, as they try to reach out to their loved ones that they have no idea how severe their pain is. The other half of the phrase shows that the loved ones, or friends were always there for them, until they got into trouble and no one is there for the, not even their friends. It sounds like they're complaining about how they never came when, like said, when they needed them the most. And they soon never came to call.
The weight of the world is pullin' me down
(Where are you now, where are you now?)
Every breath feels like I'm gonna drown
(Where are you now, where are you now?)
I'm the only one left alone on this Earth
Singin' this song but can't find the words
In this final first non-chorus sentence, the person feels like that the pain that they're feeling is like the world's weight on their shoulders, and they can no longer handle it anymore. The bracketed sentences shows for a cry of help, but it was never answered. The second non-chorused sentence shows that they feel like drowning in the pain or stress they're receiving and they can't take it anymore. The third one means that they feel like they're lonely, thus the sentence 'I'm the only one left alone on this Earth' ,where no one is there to help them when they're in trouble, or maybe they seem to be left out and never understood why. The last sentence however,to me, ties it all together.
When they say:
'Signin' this song but can't find the words',
they mean that even if they're singing, or shouting, no one will come, although they desperately do it. Or maybe they do not understand what they are saying and has probably lost their mind to the stress they receive.
Overall, this is a beautiful yet sad song. It possesses the meaning of 'can't find anyone for me,help me!' kind of way. I feel like as if this song ties together in a way, and sticks to where it is.
Trust me, it's not easy getting bullied and that, I've been through it too much. Which is why the lucky ones out there should quit saying:
It's okay! It's all good! No one will hurt you.
And do some real thing that will impact the person's life, instead of thinking that it will all go away. -
This song also could talk about domestic violence, about how someone might be trapped in a terrible relationship - maybe a boyfriend, maybe parents, etc - and cannot find a way out. Their cries for help seem to go unnoticed and nobody on the "outside" seems to hear or see. Many people make excuses for abusers, disbelieve a victim, or expect the victim to save themselves: the reality is many victims are literally trapped. Attempting to leave could be deadly. Most people mean well, but they forget that blaming the victim is never helpful and only increases the likelihood the victim won't try to tell again. So, I hear this song as a cry for help, and an illustration of the perhaps unintentional but still terrible results of "victim shaming."

Everyone has issues in life. Nobody's life is absolutely perfect. This song is about how we, as human beings, should stop being so selfish. We should stop focusing on our own lives, no matter how terrible they may be. We need to realize that there is someone out there who is suffering worse than us. And maybe someday, we might come across them. Naturally, we won't know. Even so, we are all human. We may live different lives and have different struggles but on the face of it, we're all the same. We all hurt for one reason or another. We should respect each other, as human beings, and help each other out whenever we can.
This song also talks about how when we are hurting over something, it takes a long time to heal. Sometimes our losses feel so great that we dwell on them for a long time. Longer than the loved ones still with us. We grieve slower than others and that's not a bad thing. But our remaining loved ones get impatient and irritated. They say things like "it will get better" and "it's okay" and "you'll get over it" when it feels like the pain will never end. It feels like it will never get better. We, as human beings, need to respect each other's pain and give each other room and time to grieve.
This is a song about someone just asking for a little human-to-human respect and kindness. -
i think this song represents someone who often makes mistakes and they think that they are the only ones. causing them to actually believe that and they decide its like the end of the world even though we all make mistakes.

I think it's about depression, maybe even self harm.
