La Dispute: King Park Meaning
King Park Lyrics
Outside of the bus stop, by Fuller and Franklin. Or near there.
Not far from the park. About a block from where the other shooting was last month.
Or was it last week?
Shots...

I personally think that "king park" is about a innocent boy getting shot and the story is in 3rd person as his ghost seeing what's going on after he died while the killer regrets it and thinks about killing himself seeing if he can still go to heaven-Liam
-
I feel like the lead singer heard about the shooting and it triggered a strange dream of him seeing it all and he saw it all in a dream and is just trying to deal with the pain of what he saw
-
I feel like this song was in the perspective of the shooters ghost looking back at what happend after he took his own life in the hotel room.

King park is based on a true story about a boy who was accidentally shot during a gang shoot out. Throughout the song, the spirit of the narrator follows the path of what happened there. He travels through time; and references how children are just innocent, you cant see what they'll be in future. "three days later, a mother had to bury her son" these are probably the most powerful lyrics in the song. They highlight the loss of the family, and emphasis what's wrong with gang violence.
The last verse is probably one of the best parts of the song. "can I still get into heaven if I kill myself" shows how hr feels guilty for shooting an innocent person. It deals with conscious and moral views. Jordan has managed to fond a way to great empathy towards all the people in the story, including the guy who fired the shot.
