   It's about unrequited love which is so painful. I went through this. We were friends as with this song. I tried to change his mind, make him mine, and he fell over all kinds of girls he didn't know. He lead me on, we kissed, and I fell hard. Still think of him after 30 years. It is all true, I'm going to love, miss you and it's going to hurt for a long long time.

   This song resonates so deeply for me. I still cry when I hear this after thirty years of being in love with someone who would never let me in. Time washes clean, loves wounds unseen- they say time heals all wounds, but when you love someone so much who just doesn't feel the same, I don't know if you ever get over it and that is what this song is about.
