Homicide Lyrics
-
I think Logic is trying to show that he is more and capable of being different from other rappers while paying homage to Marshal. He gives his rap off like he's not the best rapper but he's better than most of these rappers who only raps for hoes and rare designer clothes. Logic says, " son you know why you the greatest alive? why dad? because you came outta my balls nigga hahaha." I like to think he's saying that for Marshal, as if Marshal is the dad in his rap story and Logic is the son but the same breed in making rap songs as Marshal.
Even the Chorus:
"I'm comin' for your man and his lady and even the baby
I'm feelin' like I'm, chika-chika-chika, Slim Shady with rabies."
Logic is saying along the lines of basically I'm like Marshal respectfully (lol).
Marshal on the other hand surprises us with a handful of witty lines and rhymes while using metaphors and breaking down why no one can replace or replicate him.
Marshal says:
"Beast mode, motherfuckers 'bout to get hit
With so many foul lines, you'll think I'm a free throw
Figured it was about time for people to eat crow
You about to get out-rhymed, how could I be dethroned?"
Marshal's lyrics are very amusing and entertaining to listen to in this song, he is one of the best lyricists. Logic knows this and is doing his best to keep up and match the same energy as Marshal while doing an excellent job at explaining why no one comes close to the two.
There is more to the story with their lyrics and rhymes, these our only my few thoughts on the two collaborating for one song.
