1-800-273-8255 Lyrics
I’ve been taking my time
I feel like I’m out of my mind
It feel like my life ain’t mine
Who can relate?
I’ve been on a low
I’ve been taking my time
It feel like my life ain’t mine
I don’t wanna be alive
I don’t wanna...

This song is very motivational if you are going through something and the band is proving that there is something worth living for.

this song is about some one who feels suicidal and calls the suicide hotline (1800...)
the pre and chorus are about hoe the person doesn't want to be alive.
"I've been praying for someone to save me,no one's heroic"
means that no one has stepped up to help them.
"i know ive been hurting deep down but cant show it"
means that they feel that there is no one left to turn to
the next verse is from the point of view of the person answering the hotline phone.
"its the very first breath that you take when your heads been drowning underwater"
they are describing the feeling you get when you feel happy and alive again
"its holding on though the road is long"
they are saying to keep going its going to be okay"
"i know where you are, where you've been going
here we discover that the person answering the phone was also suicidal once and knows what they are going through
"i just want to try to shed a little light"
they want to help get other people through deppression -
To me this song means you still have life to live so live it in a good way and saying hey i used to be suicidal but I'm not and I'm still alive and that's because i didn't commit suicide. By the way that's coming from someone who every once in a while has suicidal thoughts and I mean what I have typed up ahead. So the song is saying what ever you do don't do any self harm and btw the last person that typed shouldn't have posted plain crap like that on a song that has such a sad yet good meaning to it and touchy feeling to certain people.

I feel like this song is about someone who was suicidal and knew how it felt to be suicidal. The person who WAS suicidal is trying to convince someone else who is suicidal to not die. The person is giving the suicidal person hope and saying "it's gonna be okay, things will get better." The person who used to be suicidal is saying 'hey listen, I used to be suicidal, too, but those feelings are slowly going away. You're gonna be fine. You're not alone."
