Song Released: 2016
Mama Said Lyrics
Mama said that it was quite alright
Our kind of people had a bed for the night
And it was OK
Mama told us we are good kids
And daddy told us never listen to the ones
Pointing nasty fingers and making...

#1 top rated interpretation:These kids came from poverty and were bullied during their childhoods. Their parents gave ten unconditional love and reassured them they were good people and not to worry about where they came from. They had dreams and were mocked for them, but they were strong and pushed through. They are proud of were they came from and when they start to lose themselves they go to where they came from and got reassured that they're ok. Their parents are what drove them to follow their dreams and not to let the bullying get to them. Their life was tough but they pushed through and came out stronger. Now they are prouder, stronger, and braver because they never gave up; they kept fighting.

Incredible lyrics. Amazing song. Such thought provoking.
It is about the singer childhood experience with his siblings, how they were bullied and mocked among mates and older ones. It was harsh but they didn't have it that bad 'cause they got 'enough love from Mom and Dad' and such a level of assurance mixed with confidents even though they had nothing when their mother said ''It was okay. It quite alright. You are good kids''. For such innocents mind it was a word that kept them on and made them had confidence. The song is an A+ to me. Lukas Graham did well on this.
