Lukas Graham: 7 Years Meaning
Song Released: 2016
7 Years Lyrics
My mamma told me, "Go get yourself some friends or you'll be lonely!"
Once I was 7 years old
It was a big big world but we thought we were bigger
Pushing each other to the limits we were learning quicker,
By eleven...

#1 top rated interpretation:Lukas Graham is telling his story. Lessons he's learned from his loved ones, things about his children, how he made it big, apologies to those he had to leave behind on his journey. This song is an honest and true representation of growing up and the process of life. You go from seven to sixty-one in what seems like minutes, so spend your time wisely.

#2 top rated interpretation:I think that this song is about coming of age and realizing the meaning behind everything that your parents told you, and that the world is different from how it was when you were a child.

I have been listening to this song for a long time.
I have always believed that this song is about how life goes by way to fast.
the way it goes from 7, 11 to 20, 30 t0 60 so fast is just saying that life is to fast. it is about recalling memories in life -
This song tells us about the different stages of life. A truly brilliant song by Lukas Graham.

Yeah, this song is one of the greatest songs I've ever heared. Especilly the words"I hope my children come and visit once or twice a month."
-
I believe that it is a song about the pressures that are put on each age of life. (this song is about the pressures boys face). For example boys are constantly trying to one up each other "pushing each other to the limit." Another example is how boys are told to get a girlfriend soon or right away where as girls are told to stay away from boys. "go get yourself a wife."

It gets me every time to hear the line "I hope my children come and visit once or twice a month."

He's telling us what will happen throughout his life.

I think its a song to share his feelings when he has a fam and he tells them his childhood and how his kids have it good. He appreciates the little things in life because he didnt have much but he still reached his goals. Now he's telling his life story.
